Located in Essex County, Topsfield has a population of over 6,000 residents and is spread over 12 square miles and just 22 miles from Boston and is most easily accessed by Route 95. Topsfield is a smaller town in populus and size, but has a strong sense of community. Perhaps most noted for its annual “Topsfield Fair” which is among the oldest county fairs had originally began in the early 1800’s as a cattle show. Today it brings hundreds of thousands of visitors from all over for its week long run with food, crafts, rides and contests. Other popular attractions include the Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary, Willowdale State Forest, Gould Barn and Bradley Palmer State Park.
