Manchester, or sometimes known as “Manchester by the Sea” is home to approximately 5,000 residents. Located in beautiful Cape Ann, Manchester was first a fishing community for over 200 years and then over the years had become a popular summer destination.
There are seven beaches that are located along the coast of Manchester and many small islands that dot the coast with the largest ones being Kettle Island and House Island. One of the most notable and popular beaches of Manchester is Singing Beach. This beach is quite busy during the summer months in particular because it is ease of access from Boston by a half-mile walk from the MBTA Train Station.
